About Us
Welcome
Welcome to The World Famous Brat Stop, making Wisconsin Legendary since 1961. Owner and founder Gerald Rasmussen was only 18 when he purchased the original 8 stool bar and cheese shop from his parents. Just 5 minutes from the Wisconsin/Illinois border the Brat Stop serves as your official, “Welcome” and, “See you next time” to the state of Wisconsin.
A Family Place
The Brat Stop is a family place. We welcome all folks, from all backgrounds, for all kinds of events. Take a look at our menu and you are sure to find something that tickles your stomachs fancy. Go beyond the menu, and you’ll see we feature a great many events year round.
The "50 Yard Line"
We practice fair and ethical hiring practices, for that reason there is a very good chance your server is a Bears, Cubs, or White Sox fan. Some even call Kenosha the northern most suburb of Chicago. Mr. Rasmussen calls The Brat the “50 yard line” between the Packers and Bears. So no matter which teams you choose to support you’ll never be cheering them on by yourself. When your team hits that walk off homerun, makes a buzzer beater to send it to OT, or your favorite NASCAR driver turns left faster than the rest, we provide the bells and whistles to help you celebrate.
World Famous
The World Famous and Legendary Brat Stop is your one stop shop for all things Wisconsin. From food, cheese, beer, music, and sports, to a knight in shining armor, a blue dog, The Bratfast Club, or the infamous hanging Chicago Bear, there isn’t anything you can’t find under The Brat Stop roof. From everyone here in the Brat Stop family, thanks for stopping by!
